I was browsing throughout the forums and didn't see really anybody talk much about anime. And if they did, it was about one show and the topic was really old.

So does anyone watch anime? If so, which ones and why you like watching them.

Nice avatar . I also enjoy anime (if you couldn't tell by my avatar). I've watched most of the classics and tons of other stuff. Right now I've been slowly going through Monster, as well as keeping up with Bleach/Naruto manga and anime every week. I haven't really watched any new shows from this season. The last show I watched was Death Note (which was quite awesome).

I watch anime, used to be a pretty rabid otaku, but now I'm just neutral about it, watch once in awhile when a really good one comes out. I <3 Claymore. This year I only saw Death Note, Loveless, Lucky Star and Claymore.

EDIT: I saw like 10 episodes each of Bleach and Naruto, but it didn't grab me and make me watch all 200 million eps. >_>

I watch anime, but it tends to take me forever to finish a damn series. For example, right now, I'm in the middle of finishing up The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. However, I started watching the series like... 4 months ago. I got through 9 episodes, then all of a sudden, bam, a mysterious hiatus. This kills me too, as it's only 14 episodes long (as of now).

I'll probably finish it within the next few weeks... yay winter break.

@Chainsaw: I liked that. (not the H*****)

@Des:Thanks i like yours too.

Is Monster good? I like Bleach a lot, not so much Naruto though. too many fillers.

Death Note is AMAZING. For a long time it made me think. Can't stop re-watching it.

@Ryunoa: Nice.

I've heard a lot about Claymore, just haven't started watching really.

On the Bleach, i know what you mean, it took me 40 episodes or so to actually get into it.

@Bjw: Lol. I know how that is like. i started watching X about 4 years ago. I just finished watching the whole series last month.

It's all about the classics for me. Gundam Wing, Speed Racer, Voltron, Lupin the 3rd, Tenchi Muyo, and Cowboy Bebop. As for the newer series, I've gotten into Bleach, Death Note, and Shin-Chan.

Nice list. Sweet actually, i like a lot of the Gundam series. Wing would probably be my 3rd. Bebop is great, one of the only decent dubs for me.

Ordinarily I just cant handle anime, its all the same character whizzing through the air or flinging fire around screaming at the top of their lungs and way overdoing every emotion on the table.

However, once when I was really baked I was watching one and a frickin' dragon came bursting out this guys face and killed someone while there was pretty much a seizure inducing freakshow going on in the background...........now that was awesome!

I used to be really into anime - went to AnimeExpo here in the Bay Area and everything. I don't watch much these days, though.

Favorites from back in the day: Record of Lodoss Wars (cheesy as hell but I love the art), Ranma 1/2 (gotta love the panda!), Vampire Hunter D.

I have the first Vampire Hunter D novel, and kinda dug it. I'm looking forward to getting the other translations.

@Trans: wow, what is on there?

@Ealasaid: I remember Ranma 1/2 being one of the first i've ever watched. Although i don't remember it much anymore.
